The Wizard's Evolution is a Rare card that is unlocked with 6 Evolution Shards. It spawns a Wizard with identical stats to the original. Once deployed, a Fire Shield will appear around the Wizard, preventing it from dying in 1 attack. Once the shield is destroyed, all pushback capable troops within 3 tiles of the Wizard will be pushed back by 3 tiles and take high damage. The Wizard's Evolution costs 5 Elixir and requires 1 cycle to deploy.

  • The Evolved Wizard is a great defensive troop against decks utilizing many swarm cards due to his large amount of splash damage.
    • Additionally, unlike the regular Wizard, the Evolved Wizard’s shield does enough damage to destroy Minions and Goblins, allowing the user to place him directly in the center of a massive group of these troops to instantly wipe them out.
  • The Evolved Wizard can be situationally ignored depending on the tower troop used by the opponent. If the Tower Princess is in use, the Evolved Wizard will do about half of the Crown Tower when left alone while the Cannoneer and Dagger Duchess will reduce this from slightly less than half to slight chip damage of the Crown Tower respectively.
  • The Evolved Wizard has good synergy with the Giant. The Evolved Wizard’s high damage will cripple or even destroy tank killers, such as Hunter and Mini P.E.K.K.A, meant to defend the Giant and his heavy splash damage will easily wipe out small and large swarms, such as Goblin Gang and Barbarians. Also, the Giant will be taking hits for the Evolved Wizard, keeping him alive longer to take out more defensive troops.
  • With the help of any tower troop and Skeletons, the Evolved Wizard can fully counter the Evolved Royal Recruits for a +1 Elixir trade. Additionally, the Evolved Wizard will survive, setting up for a potential counterattack.
  • Like the regular Wizard, the Evolved Wizard has great synergy when paired with Tornado and Evolved Valkyrie, The Tornado effect will pull opposing troops into the Wizard's splash radius, allowing him to hit more targets and deal more damage.
  • Like the Dark Prince or Guards, the Evolved Wizard cannot be destroyed in one hit by anything due to his shield, making cards like Rocket and Fireball almost entirely ineffective against him until the shield is destroyed. Additionally, small spells like The Log and Zap can’t destroy his shield. Therefore, a troop immune to pushback should be used to safely destroy the shield and take out the Evolved Wizard.
  • The Evolved Wizard is very effective against the Lava Hound. The Lava Hound itself can be quickly dispatched by his high damage while the Lava Pups are easily destroyed by his splash damage, causing minimal damage to be done to the Crown Tower in most cases.
  • With the help of a Crown Tower, the Royal Delivery can fully counter the Evolved Wizard for a +2 Elixir trade. The delivery should ideally be deployed on top of the Evolved Wizard, where the Royal Recruit can distract and help take it out after being knocked back by the Fire Shield.
  • If a Miner is placed on the inside corner of a Tower Princess, you can place the Evolved Wizard to get the Miner to knock itself into the King Tower from the Fire Shield’s explosion, potentially activating it if set up properly.
  • With the help of a Crown Tower and placed in the center of the user’s side, the Evolved Wizard can fully counter the Elite Barbarians for a +1 positive Elixir trade. This makes him ideal at countering decks that utilize the Elite Barbarians inside of a larger group of troops, such as Elixir Golem.
    • Conversely, the Evolved Wizard has great synergy with the Elixir Golem as his shield and high damage ranged attacks severely discourage the opponent from placing most units next to the Elixir Golem to take it out; doing so would likely cause their defense to be destroyed by the Evolved Wizard. Instead, they’ll be forced to defend the Evolved Wizard first, giving ample time for the Elixir Golem to deal significant damage to the Crown Tower.
  • The Evolved Wizard may be substituted for other Card Evolutions with consistent splash damage, such as the Evolved Firecracker and Evolved Bomber, based on the user's deck choices and other preferences.
  • If the user is up Elixir, a Mega Knight can easily prevent a small push that includes the Evolved Wizard due to his spawn damage instantly destroying the shield and weakening all troops inside the push, allowing for his regular attacks to finish it off.
