Troop Rush is a game mode which is currently only available to play in certain Special Event Challenges and as a rotating mode in Party Mode. In Troop Rush, there are Crown Towers, similar to normal 1v1 battles. However, unlike in 1v1 battles, a certain troop may be featured. That troop will periodically spawn every few seconds. These troops will spawn for both players, and depending on the variation, they may spawn behind the Crown Towers or near the center. These troops can be used alongside the players' cards to create larger pushes. Sometimes, a spell or a building may replace the troop. Winning in this mode is identical to regular 1v1 battles, requiring the player to destroy the King's Tower before the opponent or to destroy more Crown Towers than the opponent.
Gameplay[]
These troops generally spawn behind the player's Crown Towers.
In some situations, the troops may spawn in the same lane for both players, while in other situations, they may spawn in opposite lanes.
Certain troops may not spawn behind the Crown Towers. Instead, they may spawn in totally random positions on both players' sides. This is most typically seen in Troop Rush variations that spawn a spell instead of a troop.
In variations under the Ramp Up mode, the troops will increase in troop count when spawning. This happens two times within a match; once during Double Elixir time and once when Overtime starts. The troop count increase is linear, meaning that if the initial spawn was 1 troop, the troop count per wave in Double Elixir would be 2 troops, while in Overtime, it would be 3 troops.
Like the Witch's initial spawn delay when placed, there is an initial delay when the first wave of troops will spawn that counts from the start of the match.
Each troop has its own spawn speed and initial delay in the mode.
The Level of the troops in the mode is identical to the player's King's Tower, meaning that a Level 8 player will spawn Level 8 troops. If a non-Common troop is generated and the player's King Level is lower than the minimum level of that troop, the player will get the minimum level of that troop.
Like regular cards, the troops that spawn in this mode are affected by effects like Rage and Clone.
In certain situations, the featured troop may also have a buff to add additional requirements in order to defeat said troop.
There can be additional rules independent of the spawning troop mechanic. For example, the Arena may be affected by a spell, like in the Global spellmode or each bridge may also have one Elixir placed there for either player to collect, similarly to the Elixir Capture sub-mode.
In some Troop Rush variations, a special troop, spell, or building may spawn that cannot spawn from any card.
Mega Monk[]
The Mega Monk is similar to a regular Monk, however the ability would also apply the damage reduction to any allied troops in a 4-tile radius around him.
The Dark Elixir is similar to a Poison, with a totally different effect. It will not deal any damage, and increase any troops' or buildings' attack speed by 100%, like the Ragespell. This boost does not stack with the Rage card. However, any troop or building inside it will receive 100% extra damage from all sources.
Tombstone[]
The Tombstone is similar to a regular Tombstone, however it will spawn a Royal Ghost after death instead of 4 Skeletons, and its first wave of Skeletons spawns 2 seconds after it is deployed.
The Mega Tombstone is similar to a regular Tombstone, with notable differences. Its hitpoints do not deplete like other buildings, meaning that it has to take damage from other sources to be destroyed. It spawns 3 Guards per wave, and a Skeleton King after death. Its first wave of Guards spawns 6 seconds after it is deployed.
The Elixir Barrel is similar to an Elixir Collector, with notable differences. Unlike the Elixir Collector, it does not generate Elixir after death. Instead, it will generate 4 Elixir for the opponent if it is destroyed by them.
When building a deck for the mode, it is a good idea to bring in a counter to the featured troop (e.g. Mega Minion if the featured troop is Balloon). This will make it easier to defend against it.
Additionally, common synergies to the featured troop are great cards to use in this mode, in order to support the troop effectively, such as Battle Healer in the Elixir Golem variation.
