Treasure Hunt is a game mode which is currently only available to play in certain Special Event Challenges and as a rotating mode in Party Mode. In Treasure Hunt, there are Crown Towers, similar to normal 1v1 battles. However, unlike in 1v1 battles, there is another building in the center of the Arena. This building does not belong to either side, and has two health bars, one for each side. Both sides race to deplete the health bars to get the treasure for their own side. Destroying the building before the opponent can grand various effects helpful for the player, allowing them to have an advantage over the opponent. These buildings will periodically spawn every few seconds for each player to claim again, should they fail to do that the first time. Winning in this mode is identical to regular 1v1 battles, requiring the player to destroy the King's Tower before the opponent or to destroy more Crown Towers than the opponent.

Variations[]

Dragon Hunt[]

“Destroy the Elixir Egg to release a random Dragon that fights for you! The Dragon will fight for the player that releases it first.”

The Treasure Building in the center is an Elixir Egg with 2,560 Hitpoints every 31.5 seconds. Destroying it will grant the player with either a Baby Dragon, an Electro Dragon, or an Inferno Dragon. Which of the three dragons will spawn is completely random.

Elixir Capture[]

“Destroy the central Elixir Storage to gain Elixir, and use troops to collect Elixir on the bridges! Use this to your advantage to win!”

The Treasure Building in the center is an Elixir Storage with 2,560 Hitpoints every 31.5 seconds. Destroying it will grant the player with 2 Elixir. Along with the Elixir Storage, 1 Elixir can be found in each of the two bridges for each player to claim. In order to claim this Elixir, it simply requires any troop to walk over it. This Elixir respawns every 21 seconds.

Capture the Troop[]

The Treasure Building in the center is a Statue with 2,560 Hitpoints. Destroying it will grant the player with the troop that it resembles. Currently, the troops that have been featured are the Sparky, Fisherman, and the Archer Queen. Each Statue has a different spawn time.

Capture the Mortar[]

The Treasure Building in the center is a large non-attacking Mortar with 3,840 Hitpoints every 22 seconds. Destroying it will grant the player with a Super Mortar that only targets Crown Towers. Like a regular Mortar, the Super Mortar can deal area damage, allowing it to hit additional targets next to the Crown Towers.

Capture the Sparky[]

The Treasure Building in the center is a large non-attacking Sparky with 3,000 Hitpoints every 22 seconds. Destroying it will grant the player with a Super Sparky that cannot move, acting more similar to a building. Unlike a regular Sparky, the Super Sparky will spawn with her first charge fully completed and stun effects cannot reset her charge.

Spell Cauldron[]

The Treasure Building in the center is a Spell Cauldron with 3,000 Hitpoints every 18 seconds. Destroying it will grant the player with a spell that affects the entire arena, like those of the Global Spell mode. These spells are Rage, Heal, Clone, Invisibility, Freeze, or Lightning. Which of the six spells will spawn is completely random.

Strategy[]

  • Note that the Treasure Buildings are not considered Crown Towers. As such, spells and certain troops like the Miner will deal their full damage to them, and Earthquake will deal its building damage to them.
  • It is generally a good idea to use high damage cards in Treasure Hunt. Their high damage means that they are more likely to claim the Treasure Building as opposed to low damage cards.
  • The Royal Recruits are very effective in the Elixir Capture sub-mode. Their spawn formation allows them to claim the Elixir located at the bridges, while also attacking the Elixir Storage. This can partly refund 4 Elixir from using them and will still have most of their hitpoints for a push.
  • Playing Spirit cards right when the Elixir appears at the bridge is a good way to pressure the opponent. The Elixir at the bridges will completely refund their Elixir cost, forcing the opponent to respond with a negative Elixir trade or take some chip on their Tower Princess. The Fire Spirit is especially effective at this due to its higher damage.
  • In Dragon Hunt, it is a good idea to have cards that are good counters to all three dragons, such as the Tesla, Musketeer, and Hunter. This is better than using counters that specialize in some of the dragons. For example, Minions may work well against a spawned Inferno Dragon but not as well against a spawned Baby Dragon.
