“He's tough, targets buildings and explodes when destroyed, slowing nearby enemies. Made entirely out of ice... or is he?! Yes.”

The Super Ice Golem was a temporary Legendary card, only available in certain Events. It spawned a very slow, single-target, building-targeting, melee, ground troop with very high hitpoints and low damage. When defeated, the Super Ice Golem exploded, dealing damage, while additionally stunning anything for 4 seconds. A Super Ice Golem card costed 4 Elixir to deploy.

Strategy[]

  • If your opponent defeats a Super Ice Golem, their King Tower will immediately activate from the freeze damage, and vice versa. This makes decks that revolve around cards such as Graveyard and Goblin Barrel much less effective, since the King's Tower will also be available to shoot at the spawned troops.
    • However, timing the Graveyard after a Super Ice Golem freeze can be devastating, since it forces the opponent to react to it and will usually do huge damage, especially if the opponent does not have proper Graveyard counters. A similar strategy works for Goblin Barrel.

Trivia[]

  • The word "Golem" occurs once in the Bible in Psalm 139:16, which uses the word "golmi", that means "my light form", "raw" material, connoting the unfinished human being. A golem is an animated, anthropomorphic being in Jewish folklore, which is entirely created from inanimate matter, usually clay or mud. The most famous golem narrative involves Judah Loew ben Bezalel, the late 16th-century rabbi of Prague.
  • The Super Ice Golem is 1 of 6 cards associated with ice, with the others being Ice Spirit, Giant Snowball, Ice Golem, Freeze, and Ice Wizard.
    • In the Finnish language setting of the game, the Ice Golem's name translates to "Super Freezing Golem".
  • The Super Ice Golem has the lowest speed of all troops, with a speed of 30.
  • Unlike the Golem, the Super Ice Golem attacks with both hands, whereas the Golem only punches with one hand. The Elixir Golem attacks with both hands, but the Elixir Golemites use one hand and the Elixir Blobs appear to bite.
  • Unlike the Golem and Elixir Golem, the Super Ice Golem doesn't spawn his smaller versions upon death.
  • The description of the Super Ice Golem incorrectly states that he slows nearby troops upon death. This is because the description is copied from the Ice Golem.
