Rewards & Perks for All Seasons[]
- Unlimited Special Challenge Retries: Enter & re-enter Special Challenges without paying a standard re-entry fee (usually with Gems).
- Golden Name Cosmetic: The player's name becomes golden and animated.
- Battle Pass Rewards: Get Lucky Drops, Chests, Magic Items and Gems, from Battle Pass Tiers. In each typical season;
- Free players get 28 1-Star Lucky Drops, 4 2-Star Lucky Drops, 1 3-Star Lucky Drop, 26 Gold Crates, 9 Giant Chests, 6 Boost Potions, 100 Gems, 1 animated Battle Banner Frame + Decoration bundle, and 2 Wild Shards.
- Diamond Pass owners get 25 1-Star Lucky Drops, 9 2-Star Lucky Drops, 2 3-Star Lucky Drops, 1 4-Star Lucky Drops, 10 Gold Crates, 1 Magical Chests, 1 Legendary King's Chest, 1125 Common Wild Cards, 270 Rare Wild Cards, 90 Epic Wild Cards, 4 Legendary Wild Cards, 1525 Gems, 1 emote, 1 Crown Tower skin and this season's Evolution.
- Clan Gift: When a player purchases Pass Royale, their Clanmates each can claim a gift of 1,600 Gold (or less, depending on King Level). Players have to be in a Clan before a clanmate purchases the Pass Royale to be eligible for the gift. Each player can claim up to 10 gifts each season.
- Exclusive Emote, Tower Skin, and Battle Banner: Each Season has at least one Tower Skin, Emote, and animated Battle Banner exclusively obtainable for that Season.
- Bonus Bank: After completing all Battle Pass tiers, for every further crowns gained, the players get a 1-Star Lucky Drop. You can get a maximum of 1 per day (however, Bonus Bank Lucky Drops not unlocked yet will stack). The number of crowns required for a single Lucky Drop unlock is 20.

- Automatic Chest Unlocking: Queue up another Chest to start unlocking automatically when the first Chest finishes unlocking.
- Lightning Strikes: Strikes down unwanted Cards from chests to other Cards of the same amount and rarity. Note that after the Strikes are unlocked, every single remaining Pass Royale Chest and Crown Chest will have that number of Strikes, instead of having a total of that number of Strikes. Each player has 7 Strikes unlocked in each Season, the first of which is automatically unlocked upon purchasing Pass Royale.

- Pass Royale Chests do not contain any Gold by themselves.
- For players who have bought the Pass Royale, all these Chests, along with the Crown Chests, have Strikes unlocked through the rewards.
- The Rare and Epic Pass Royale Chests usually only contain Cards of a single rarity, but can contain one Legendary Card at Builder's Workshop (Arena 6) or above. This is in contrast to the normal Epic Chest, which never contains a Legendary Card.
- At Builder's Workshop (Arena 6) or above, the Legendary Pass Royale Chest replaces the final Crown Chest of each Season, even available to free players (however, free players do not get the Strikes and just get one random Legendary Card). At Spell Valley (Arena 5) or below, the final Crown Chest is replaced by the Epic Pass Royale Chest instead.
- Players have to reach Builder's Workshop (Arena 6) before the beginning of this Season to be eligible for the higher tier Pass Royale Chests, like Legendary Chests. If a player reaches Builder's Workshop during a Season, the rewards remain at the lower tier.

2019
- Pass Royale was introduced with Season 1 on 1/7/2019, in the July 2019 Update.
- On 5/7/2019, an Optional Update, fixed some display issues. It also made it so that Crowns from Private Tournaments would not contribute towards Pass Royale.
- On 1/8/2019, a Minor Update, fixed the issue where a queued Chest's timer would sometimes reset before the Chest had finished unlocking.
- On 30/9/2019, the End of September 2019 Update, slightly tweaked Pass Royale's UI. It also fixed a crash that would happen after skipping Pass Royale tiers with Gems, and fixed an issue where the UI did not refresh correctly on the Pass reward track after closing the Trophy Road.
- From Season 4 new perks were added to Pass Royale, Clan Gifts and the Bonus Bank, and moved the higher reward tier threshold down one Arena.
- On 17/10/2019, an Optional Update, fixed some Shocktober Arena visuals.
- Starting from Season 6, the Card Booster was added, which would level up the featured Card to the player's King's Level. Players do not have to purchase Pass Royale to unlock the Card Booster, and Card Boosters last the entire Season.
2020
- In Season 9, the Birthday Battlefield was originally an "arena on wheels" that moved in-game, but it was made stationary due to player feedback. The moving feature was then added back in 2v2 modes, although slowed down. This was reused in some anniversary Seasons.
- In Season 10, the Bonus Bank was increased to 25,000 Gold (from 10,000 Gold). This change was reverted in Season 11.
- Starting from Season 12, more than one Card can be boosted during the same season.
- On 10/9/2020, an Optional Update, improved the UI of Pass Royale Queue Chests and Open Now buttons. It also made Lightning Strikes appear correctly on the Pass Royale free Tower Skin Reward Tier, and checkmark would no longer appears under Pass Royale free Tower Skin Reward Tier.
- On 18/11/2020, the Clan Wars Improvement Update, made it so that Pass Royale color codes will now displayed correctly for spectators in 2v2 battles.
2021
- Starting from Season 21, during some Seasons players could vote for a second Card to be boosted each week for that week out of 4 Cards. The main Card is boosted for the entire season.
- On 30/3/2021, a maintenance break, fixed a bug where the game could crash if the player opened their Tier 35 Chest from Pass Royale.
- Starting from Season 22, Magic Items were made available on both sides of Pass Royale. Magic Items on the free side come alongside Crown Chests, and do not replace them. However, Pass Royale Chests and Lightning Strikes were removed. It also made it so that Pass Royale is now unlocked at Level 4.
- On 7/6/2021, the Summer 2021 Update, decreased the amount of Crowns required in most tiers from 10 to 5, and the Bonus Bank storage size increased from 10,000 Gold to 25,000 (previously a temporary feature in Season 10). It also removed the Strike icon from Pass Royale.
- From Season 29, the Royal Wild Chest was added to the free side of Pass Royale. It guarantees a Champion to anyone in Arena 16 or higher.
- Starting from Season 30, the main boosted Card can be completely replaced by weekly Cards.
2022
- Starting from Season 32, new temporary Cards, have been introduced.
- On 12/12/2022, the Clashmas Update, made visual changes to the Boosted Cards of the Season.
2023
- Starting from Season 46, Pass Royale was changed to two tiers, Gold Pass and Diamond Pass, with the Diamond Pass having an animated Battle Banner. The tiers of the pass were increased to 121 (from 35) and all tiers will now require 5 Crowns to complete, However, the Bonus Bank and certain Magic Items were removed from Pass Royale.
- On 19/6/2023, in the middle of Season 48, Card Evolution Shards were introduced to the Pass Royale.
2024
- Starting from Season 64; Pass Royale removed gold pass. Tiers were decreased to 60 (from 121), but there are rewards at every tier. Battle Banner is moved to the free side, while emote and the tower skin is in the paid. The amount of crowns per tier and the rewards got heavenly changed on free and paid side (for example, added Lucky Drops (1-star to 4-star) and Evolution Shard). The bonus bank got added (1-star lucky drop) for both tiers
2025
- Starting from Season 67; the number of crowns for the bonus bank got changed, but made it so you only can get 1 per day (does stack with the days missing). This also changed the rewards in the Diamond Pass: giving no keys (from 10) and 4 boost potions (instead of 12) in exchange for 9 1-star Lucky Drops (from 0)
- Starting from Season 68: you wont gain 100 crown when gaining the Diamond Pass
- Starting from Season 70: the number of tiers got increased to 90 (from 60), the queue chest perk got removed and the rewards are changed on both the free and paid side
Trivia[]
- The Pass Royale cost is close to the Bucket of Gems's cost (1200
) equivalent to the player's region. - While Pass Royale is active, the player will be unable to use their free name change should they still have it.
- If Pass Royale is bought when some tiers have been progressed, all rewards on prior Pass Royale tiers will also be unlocked.
- Even though the Safe is a single building, destroying the opponent's Safe counts as 3 Crowns for Pass Royale.
