“Generates Elixir over time, pumped from deep below the Arena”
The Elixir Collector is a building that belongs to the Building: Elixir Collector Modifier. It can also be spawned by the Battle Machine. It spawns a passive building with moderate hitpoints. The Elixir Collector generates Golden Elixir every few seconds. The Elixir Collector takes the appearance of a wooden building reinforced with blue seals on top and bases on the bottom, with a vertical glass vat in between two wooden slabs, in which Elixir keeps pumping up. A metal pipe, a hose, and a shutoff value with a metal axle are fixed behind it, with a small puddle of Elixir back and to the left of the collector tube, which are mounted on top of a metal base.
Strategy
- As a passive building, the Elixir Collector should not be placed in the first rows of hexes, as it won't be able to defend itself, even when other troops and buildings can assist it.
- Due to producing Golden Elixir at a very slow rate on 1-Star and 2-Star, the Elixir Collector can be placed in the bench until the player has an idea on where it's best to place it based on the enemies' set-ups. This avoids a poorly placed Elixir Collector that cannot be moved.
- With Battle Machine, The Elixir Collector is best placed in either the hex to the last of either of the last row's corner hexes or on either of the second-to-last row's corner hexes. That way, it and X-Bow (or Mortar in its absence) can trap a ranged troop in either corner hex of the last row, making it extra protected, as the enemy troops would have to target one building (or both of them) to damage that troop, decreasing the player's chances of losing due to buildings not accounting for team members. Great troops for said hex include Musketeer, Princess, andWitch, especially when
Superstar (or
Blaster in the case of Princess) is active.

History
- The Elixir Collector building was added with Merge Tactics' launch in the 2025 Quarter 2 Update on 30/6/2025, belonging to the Elixir Collector Modifier.
- On 27/10/2025, a Seasonal Update removed the Elixir Collector and the Elixir Collector Modifier from Merge Tactics.
- On 24/11/2025, a Seasonal Update re-added the Elixir Collector to Merge Tactics, now belonging to the Building: Elixir Collector Modifier. It was also made spawnable by Battle Machine's Ruler Modifier, Building Master. Its description was also changed; previously, it read "Rulers often wonder where Golden Elixir springs from. Let's just say, there's more than earth beneath the Arena…".
Trivia
- The word “Elixir” comes from the Arabic word "اَلْإِكْسِير" (al iksir), which is the word for miracle substances. Dating back to the third century BC, Elixir was rumored to change base metals into gold and prolong life indefinitely.
- The Elixir Collector is 1 of 5 Merge Tactics buildings which first existed in Clash of Clans, the others being Inferno Tower, Mortar, Tesla, and X-Bow.
- The Elixir Collector is one of the first buildings to be added to Merge Tactics, alongside the Inferno Tower, Mortar, Tesla, and the X-Bow.
- The Elixir Collector is the only Merge Tactics unit without a damage statistic.
- The Elixir Collector's way of spawning is inspired by its Clash Mini counterpart, as it is able to be spawned by the Battle Machine, like the Clash Mini Elixir Collector was a Gizmo spawnable by the Clash Mini Battle Machine.
- The Elixir Collector is currently the only card in the game to be re-added.
