Card Roles[]
- X-bow: Your primary win condition, use this whenever you think you can get it to connect. Or, use this as bait, if your opponent uses melee counters more.
- Mortar: Your secondary win condition, use this to bait out Ram Rider or Hog. You can also use this to provide some splash support to your cards or pull with a 4-3 placement.
- Ice Wizard: A defensive support, allows for more time to counter a push.
- Electro Wizard: A good support for siege buildings, will counter Inferno Tower, Inferno Dragon, Balloon, Hog ect.
- Cannon Cart: A card that can be used for both attacking and defending. An advantage that this card has over some others is that its very spell resistant, fairly tanky, and since it can only target ground, is good for countering balloon pushes.
- Inferno Dragon: A tank killer, just be aware of zap, and place minions if they zap it, use this with cannon cart to weaken, if not destroy pushes.
- Minions: A secondary tank killer, can be a quick counter to balloon, and some mini tanks.
- Ice Spirit: A card that fits many roles, allows for countering some goblin barrel placement, can stall pushes, can counter some lone cards, can help with defending siege buildings.
Strategy[]
- Play Mortar first, to bait out their counters. Then play X-Bow.
- If you find that their main counters are ground swarms, simply use Mortar to provide support to the X-Bow. Play in 4-3 placement, so as to use more of its range, while leaving it out of locking on crown tower range, although the placement is pretty flexible; I sometimes use the Mortar on the other side of the arena to prevent my opponent from getting spell value.
- If your opponent uses air swarms, like bats, or minion horde, place minions to defend, although Ice Wizard is also a good counter.
- If your opponent plays balloon, you can drop minions, but the bomb will still connect, and your minions may get arrowed, so play E-Wiz for a stronger counter.
- Cannon Cart should be able to deal with support troops by itself, but will not be advisable against their tank. Use Inferno Dragon to counter their tank.
- Ice spirit is useful in how it help cycle and will reset attackers, and can do some chip damage.
- Use mortar to counter ranged medium ground troops.
- Don't defend siege buildings at all costs. If you do, your opponent might build up a gigantic push. Defend single unit counters and maybe even medium pushes, but save up elixir by sacrificing your siege building and counter their push when you have more elixir.
- Cannon Cart, plus some support, is a good push already, so consider doing that, instead of using siege buildings
- This deck can sometimes play like a control deck, so be prepared if you have to do that.
