Introduction

Hello Clash Royale players, I am Sergeant Space Potato, and yes I like potatoes, but also Clash Royale. Here, I have the deck that I used to get from Royal Arena (Arena 7) to Hog Mountain (Arena 10).

Deck Information[]

Deck Created by: Sergeant Space Potato
Minimum Recommended King Level: 6
Maximum Recommended King Level: 9
Arena Required: Rascal's Hideout (Wrong?)
Average Elixir Cost: 3.9 (Wrong?)
More Statistics: Go to Deck Builder

Card Roles[]

P.E.K.K.A.: P.E.K.K.A is the heart of this deck. She is a phenomenal tank, being able to take in, and dish out a TON of damage, but she must ALWAYS be well supported. Here, she is your primary win condition. Use her wisely to take out tanks, and form a counter-push. If the opponent has an Inferno Tower, then have Zap ready.
Magic Archer: The Magic Archer is one of my favorite splash cards. If placed, correctly, he can defend against swarms and even clip your opponent's tower. While he may lack in DPS, he certainly makes up for it with his linear attack. He is a powerful support troop and synergies well with P.E.K.K.A. However, he is vulnerable against Fireball.
Skeleton Army: Use them to overrun big troops like Giants, Princes, Mini P.E.K.K.As, etc.
Baby Dragon: The Baby Dragon is a powerful defensive troop, can defend very well against swarms like Minion Horde or Bats and is a decent mini tank. It like the Magic Archer synergies well with P.E.K.K.A.
Mini P.E.K.K.A.: The Mini P.E.K.K.A in this deck is mostly a defensive card, capable of shredding tanks and mini tanks. Also, I never said that you can't use him for a counter-push.
Minions: Use them to take care of Balloons, or Lava Hounds, or stall Inferno Dragons. If many are left remaining, place a light tank to deal heavy damage to their Crown Towers.
Dark Prince: The Dark Prince is a powerful offensive card, in my opinion he is better than the Prince, since he is cheaper, has a shield, and is swarm resistant. He can be used for a rush attack, and can be used to defend against ground swarms, or counter Elite Barbarians for a positive elixir trade.
Zap: Use it to handle Skarmy or Bats, or stall Inferno Towers/Dragons. Can also prevent a lot of damage from Goblin Barrel or Minion Horde. Use it WISELY.

Strategy[]

  • For a big push, place P.E.K.K.A in the back, and add support units behind her. Be wary of spending too much elixir, as your opponent can rush the other lane, dealing A LOT of damage.
  • Splitting Skarmy in the back can force them to make their first move.
  • Dark Prince + Mini P.E.K.K.A can be used as a powerful rush attack.
  • Remember, do not overcommit on defense.
  • Do not overlook your P.E.K.K.A, as she will be quickly taken out by swarms. Have at least a Zap ready.

Substitutions[]

  • P.E.K.K.A: There are no substitutions since she is the center of this deck.
  • Magic Archer: If you're looking for DPS, then feel free to replace him with Wizard, or Executioner if you're looking for more area damage. Witch can also be used since she spawns in skeletons which can distract the P.E.K.K.A from Inferno Towers/Dragons.
  • Skeleton Army: An alternative can be Guards since they're highly spell resistant, but lack the same DPS, and may fail to stop some threats. Goblin Gang is another alternative, being slightly more spell resistant (compared to Skarmy), but like Guards, they lack in overall DPS and numbers. You could even replace it with a building like a Tesla since it can pull building-targeting troops like Giants, and can still deal with the majority of single target troops, and adds extra air-defense.
  • Baby Dragon: Like Magic Archer, you could use Wizard, Executioner or Witch instead, but they are horrible at tanking, and cost more.
  • Mini P.E.K.K.A: There are no substitutions, but you could use Lumberjack, but that will alter the playstyle of this deck.
  • Minions: Bats or Mega Minion can be alternatives, but with Mega Minion, you won't be able to effectively defend against Inferno Dragons. Minion Horde can also be used but is very expensive.
  • Dark Prince: Valkyrie can be an alternative if you're looking for a more defensive approach, as she easily handles swarms and has decent health but she is very slow.
  • Zap: Giant Snowball can but used instead, but then you'll be vulnerable Inferno Tower/Dragon. Arrows can also be used instead for more damage and area of effect but is more expensive.

Weaknesses/Flaws[]

  • Inferno Tower/Dragon: The bane of this deck. They can easily melt your P.E.K.K.A, even though you have Zap. If your opponent happens to have one, do not lose hope, you'll just have to rely on Dark Prince or Mini P.E.K.K.A more as a win condition.
  • Lightning/Rocket: Both can annihilate your P.E.K.K.A's support units, allowing them to swarm it and eliminate it.
  • Elixir Collector: This deck has no effective way of dealing with an enemy elixir pump, so they'll be constantly gaining extra elixir.
  • Log: If your opponent is skilled then they could separate your support units from the P.E.K.K.A, and kite them all over the place.
