Introduction

The Graveyard is a great surprise and can easily overwhelm your opponent along with the Golem or Bowler.

Card Roles[]

Tower Troop:
Golem: The Golem is a great card in all arenas because of how hard it is to defend. It should be played during double elixir to build a massive push with the Graveyard. If it is not yet double elixir, use it conservatively and only when you have reliable counters or a tombstone on the map. It can also be played more to the front if the opponent has no building-targeting troops to punish you with like Hog Rider. When there is little time left, it is also a valid option to use as defense. (replace: Giant)
Graveyard: The Graveyard is very hard to counter when paired with one or two spells that can eliminate counters. Even if your Bowler or Golem is killed quickly, the Graveyard deals massive damage to crown towers when the skeletons accumulate. Use it when you have enough elixir to use your spells and try to surprise your opponent the first time you use it. (replace: - )
Bowler: The Bowler is the ultimate defensive card. It is cheaper then the Mega Knight, but has a lot of health and can splash and stun like him. It is effective against the Hog Rider, bridge spam cards and support units. If the Bowler survives a defense with a lot of health, it can be used to counter-attack with graveyard, although this is often easier to counter than the Golem. (replace: Mega Knight if not using Golem, Valkyrie, Witch, Executioner)
Skeleton Army: This card is also very good at defending almost everything. Even splash cards can be surrounded and distracted for only three elixir. Its only weakness is Zap, so be aware and immediately place Minions to counter their offensive card. (replace: Goblin Gang)
Minions: Minions are the only air defense in this deck, which is one of its only weaknesses. They can kill ground troops like Valkyrie without getting damaged and protect from most air units like Balloon. The Lava Hound paired with a splash card can be tricky to counter. Try to use Bowler or Fireball to deal with them, while using Minions to kill the Lava Hound. (replace: Bats, Mega Minion, Spear Goblins)
Tombstone: This is a very cheap defensive building for the Hog Rider or Battle Ram. It will also pull the Golem and Giant, however it is fragile, so use Minions and Skeleton Army to support it. It can also function as a weaker Skeleton Army if it out of rotation. (replace: inferno Tower in cheaper variant, Cannon, Tesla, Furnace)
Fireball: Fireball is a great spell for killing any healthier swarms that counters Graveyard such as Minion Horde and Barbarians. It can also kill splash troops like Wizard and Witch, especially since one skeleton will likely hit them and finish them off. It can also be used to defend as a last resort. (replace: Lightning in cheaper variant, Freeze)
Zap: The main use of Zap is to instantly kill the opponent's Skeleton Army that counters your Golem or Graveyard. It can also stun Sparky and Inferno Tower. If Fireball is out of rotation, it will stun weaker splash troops so that the Graveyard skeletons can take them out. Furthermore, it can finish off pesky troops that survived a Fireball. (replace: Giant Snowball, Tornado, The Log although it cannot target units defending Graveyard)

Strategy[]

  • Allow your opponents to make the first move and play passively at the beginning. However, if you have cheap counters and a Tombstone on the map, you can attempt an early Golem. Alternatively, place the Golem more forward so that the opponent cannot rush you.
  • Use the Bowler to defend larger pushes and tank for Skeleton Army and Minions. This can translate to a counter-push with Graveyard.
  • Try to surprise your opponent with Graveyard when they are low on elixir. Ideally, pair it with a Golem rather than the Bowler. Use Fireball to eliminate splash troops and healthier cards, along with Zap to eliminate weak swarms.
  • You might often lose a tower to chip damage because of the relatively high cost of this deck, so you will have to take one tower during the first half of the game and finish off with a large push to take the other tower.
