History

2016

• 1 card costed 7 Elixir Clash Royale's game launch on 4/1/2016, that being Barbarian Hut.
• On 2/2/2016, the February 2016 Update decreased the P.E.K.K.A.'s Cost to 7 Elixir (from 8).
• On 3/5/2016, the May 2016 Update added the Lava Hound as a 7-Elixir card.

2017

• On 25/8/2017, the Mega Knight was added as a 7-Elixir card.

2018

• On 3/12/2018, a Balance Update decreased the Royal Recruits' Cost to 7 Elixir (from 8).

2022

• On 4/4/2022, the April 2022 Update decreased the Electro Giant's Cost to 7 Elixir (from 8).
• On 4/10/2022, a Balance Update decreased the Barbarian Hut's Cost to 6 Elixir (from 7).

2023

• On 4/9/2023, the September 2023 Update allowed 7-Elixir cards to evolve, improving their stats and giving them new abilities.

2024

• Starting from 27/5/2024, new temporary 7-Elixir cards can appear in Special Challenges.
