“Defensive building that houses a Bomber. Deals area damage to anything dumb enough to stand near it.”
The Bomb Tower is a Rare card that is unlocked at Spell Valley (Arena 4). It spawns an area-damage, ground-targeting, long-ranged, building with high hitpoints and moderate damage. When defeated, it drops a bomb which explodes after 3 seconds, dealing damage. The building is made of wood and has a team-coloured stripe of paint on it, with a Bomber located at the top. A Bomb Tower card costs 4 Elixir to deploy.

- The Bomb Tower deals similar damage per hit and similar damage per second to the Bomber, so it is effective at dealing with all grounded swarms or clumped up troops. Since it is a building, it is better than a Bomber at stalling tanks like a Giant.
- The Bomb Tower's range is decently long at 6 tiles. Thus, it cannot be sniped by Musketeer across the river.
- The Bomb Tower pairs well with the Mighty Miner on defense. The Mighty Miner will destroy high hitpoint units, like Golem, while the Bomb Tower will wipe out swarms of ground troops. Additionally, both of them have high hitpoints, helping them withstand multiple attacks on defense.
- Mini P.E.K.K.A. is a similar, but less effective troop because of the Mini P.E.K.K.A.'s lower hitpoints.
- The Bomb Tower can be effectively placed in the radius of the player's Crown Tower. It will attract most enemy troops, and any opposing offensive troops attacking the Bomb Tower will also be targeted by the defending the Crown Tower.
- When using the Bomb Tower to defend against a Lava Hound push, it is more effective to place the Bomb Tower directly within the Lava Hound's path, rather than trying to pull it and its support troops away. Doing this increases the odds that the Lava Hound and its aerial support troops will get hit by the death bomb.
- Even though the Bomb Tower cannot hit air troops, sending them in alone to try and take down a Bomb Tower is ill-advised, as they will also have to bear the attacks of one or both of the opponent's Crown Towers in addition to any countermeasures the opponent deploys.
- If waiting for its lifetime to drain naturally is not an option, cards that can outrange the building, like Dart Goblin, are more effective since they will not be in range of the opponent's Crown Towers.
- Ranged air troops like a Baby Dragon are also very effective against a lone Bomb Tower, as their range is long enough where they are generally safe from the Crown Towers.
- The Bomb Tower is a very effective counter against a Hog Rider and swarm push, as it will be able to eliminate the swarms and damage the Hog Rider at the same time while also distracting the latter.
- The Bomb Tower is a great counter to Hog Rider and Earthquake decks. While it cannot fully counter a Hog Rider and Earthquake, it can withstand the Earthquake with its high hitpoints and severely damage the Hog Rider to where a low-Elixir card, like an Ice Spirit, is enough to prevent all damage from the Hog Rider.
- Though not all damage is prevented, the Bomb Tower can be a great counter to the Elixir Golem. It can wipe out the golemites and blobs with it’s high hitpoints can help it tank hits from support units and the Elixir Golem. However, it’s recommended to pair it with a single target unit to wipe out the Golem form of the Elixir Golem.
- The Bomb Tower can be used to counter Elite Barbarians for a positive Elixir trade. However, if the Elite Barbarians are at a higher Level than the Bomb Tower, the defender would also need to play another card (e.g. Skeletons) to distract and effectively counter them.
- The Bomb Tower's high health means that if timed correctly, the Bomb Tower can nearly take out a Royal Giant despite its somewhat low damage per second. This may be ineffective against a Royal Giant that's supported with back-end units unless they are ground swarms.
- The Bomb Tower is also capable of distracting and/or destroying troops that have moderate hitpoints, like the Mini P.E.K.K.A. and the Knight, thanks to its high health pool. It can also take out low to moderate hitpoint ranged troops, such as the Witch, Musketeer, and the Wizard. With assistance of the Crown Tower, the Bomb Tower can defeat high hitpoint troops such as the Valkyrie or Bowler.
- With the help of two or more Crown Towers, it is able to fully counter the Mega Knight. The Bomb Tower must be placed 4 tiles from the river and 2 tiles from a Crown Tower to pull the Mega Knight into the range of the second Crown Tower.
- The Bomb Tower synergizes well with Tornado. The Tornado can not only clump up all troops in an incoming push so that the Bomb Tower can hit all of them, but it can also be used to pull units into the Bomb Tower's death bomb.
- Very rarely, the Bomb Tower can be used offensively to attack troops that are next to the Crown Towers if one of them has been destroyed. The Bomb Tower has an attack radius large enough that it can hit troops whose hitboxes are touching the Crown Towers and hit the Crown Towers simultaneously. This can be a very unexpected way to finish off a Crown Tower in Sudden Death.
- An unusual but powerful defensive combination is the Ice Wizard, Bomb Tower, and Tornado. The Tornado can group a push together for the splash damage of the Bomb Tower and Ice Wizard to hit them all. The Ice Wizard will slow the push down, wiping out air swarms while the Bomb Tower will repeatedly damage the push. However, this combination is rather expensive at 10 elixir, and can give spell value to your opponent.
- The Bomb Tower's counterpart is the Tesla. For the same elixir cost, the Tesla can target air, has more damage per second and can hide when not attacking. However, the Bomb Tower has splash damage and more health. If the player needs anti-air, they should use the Tesla. However, if the player already has sufficient anti air, then they can benefit from the Bomb Tower's higher health and splash damage.
- Additionally, the Tesla is a Common card, making it easier to upgrade than the Bomb Tower.
