Battleground is a game mode which is currently only available to play in certain Special Event Challenges and as a rotating mode in Party Mode. In Battleground, there are Crown Towers, similar to normal 1v1 battles. However, unlike in 1v1 battles, there is no river, similar to Touchdown. Troops walk in the Arena in a straight line in order to reach the Crown Towers. In addition, there may be additional things that spawn in the Arena which the players can claim. Claiming those items before the opponent can grand various effects helpful for the player, allowing them to have an advantage over the opponent. These items will periodically spawn every few seconds for each player to claim again, should they fail to do that the first time. Winning in this mode is identical to regular 1v1 battles, requiring the player to destroy the King's Tower before the opponent or to destroy more Crown Towers than the opponent.

Boost Fields[]
Spells may be found in the center of the Arena where the river would otherwise be located. These spells are Heal, Rage, Clone, and Invisibility.
What's in the Bush?[]
Some immobile Suspicious Bushes are found at where the bridges and the river would otherwise be located. When claimed, a Suspicious Bush or a Sparky will spawn from them.
